Saving for Xmas 2015! A pound a day :-)

Hi...

A bit of a confusing situation in our house.

We are going to be successful in the challenge as we are still adding in our £1 a day each month (60, 62, etc) but we have also started buying our xmas presents which means the total isn't going to tally anymore.

We have four presents left to buy I think which means our pots are getting empty (now completely empty but a lot less than what should be there).

So... basically, I am not sure how to fill in the speadsheet anymore. I don't know whether to just put in what the final total should be or what to do.
Any advice??

Im in the same place and I'm declaring the amount I have saved without the spending, on the spreadsheet but in the posts I have declared both amounts as I will like you have less then the amount saved when the presents are bought, (used a CC atm waiting for the statement)...

I suppose I see it as I have saved for it so if I declared the amount I actually have it looks like I haven't done as well in the challenge if that makes sense....

I have just filled out the update form for September and October as spreadsheet is out of date. One more payment to go and then I have £365 to spend on presents in November/December which should be enough. Just worked out the number of people I need to buy for which is 15. I am budgeting £30 per head for 7 people, £20 per head for 5 people and £10 per head for 3 which gives me a £25 buffer. This year I just intend to draw it out in cash at various intervals and buy for 5 people at a time to keep track of whether I am staying on budget or not. That means 3 shopping trips and probably lots of research beforehand. How does everyone else intend to spend their xmas savings?

Just seen a offer for gift cards so may add a chunk to my Xmas pot as Argos card then I can use it to pay for presents.

Hi

Have updated spread sheet form so have now put in another £50 which means I have £550 saved to date. Great result for me. Have started to get bits of presents together so happy with how its going so far. The brother has been in touch to suggest 50 euro per couple as they have such a big expense this year with 2 big bikes to buy for the kids.... Brilliant is my thoughts. Now lets see what I can do with about £45 for the two of them.

I love these challenges.
