Argos and returning item broken after 7 months

Hi
I brought item ( Handheld blenders and smoothie maker) back in march cost 75 quid... was using this for mashing the potatoes on sunday when the bit that spin the blade snap off! I brought using Argos my card. Now looking through the statment i cant find it as the statment only show what i spent that month. so few question

1. Is argos still responsble to replace this after all this time??
2. Will they be able to see it i brought on my card as i do not have recept?

3. Also i dont have the box is this a problem?

Will be taking in tonight all the bits in carry bag, hoping they replace it as i like it... thou they dont sell it no more or cant find it. so what the outcome likely to be a refund?? really dont want a refund just a replacement

Thanks in advance

No unless as said you can prove it was an inherent fault .
You can ask Trading Standards their opinion .

    3. Also i dont have the box is this a problem?

    Not at all .
  • Argos card is a store card... can only use in their shop or store (& Homebase as it part of argos)...
So pointless taken it back as i cant prove i didnt negected it... oh well waste of money

    Xmas Saver!
Worth a try they can search computer system to see when it was purchased I'm guessing it's not an argos value product but one that could be brought anywhere else that's what may let you down,

If it was me I would try all options - I'm not saying ur going to get anywhere but at least you would have tried.

    1. Ring the argos card asking if they cAn trace the purchase - u know when you brought it, narrow as much info - month, cost etc
2: look online / catalogue - do they have an identical one
    3. Call in at store with as much info as you can - date, cost, which store.

It's all a long shot, generally I find argos are. More helpful than other retailers xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

Your best option is to go into the store and see what they say. There is a good chance that either Argos or the manufacturer have a one-year warranty on the product.

If the store cannot access your Argos card statement to see this as proof of purchase, they'll tell you so and may be able to give you guidance on how you can get this.
  • Ok so i rang Argos and they will see when and where i brought (opps sorry i meant BOUGHT) it by sawiping my store card so hopefully they replace it...

Careful Iain, some twelve year olds know the difference between bought and brought. ;)
