A static caravan is just like any other structure it will be damp and cold if it isn't sufficiently heated, however if you're worried about her surely you could sleep in the caravan while she sleeps in the house?

Not all statics are cold and damp but I echo the post above, can you not give up your own bed for a month or two?

Depending on where you are in the country, it might be cheaper to rent somewhere else (i.e. a whole house) for six months, and then have all of you move into that property while your house is being sorted out.

    best suggestion.

Surely this has to be better than a shed in the garden for a 92 year old?

I'm sure a walk to a new warm house would be easier for her than stuck in a shed for 23 hours a day...I love dogs but if you can't find a rental to take it, then a boarding kennel for 2 months would be a better option than a shed for your mother.

The real issue will be plumbing for a garden room if it is to be used overnight.

Look up glamping pods for a temp solution.

Another option if you have space is to offer storage for someone with a caravan in exchange for using it.
