I've upgraded to EE from T-mobile Sept 2013. Bills since then have been extortionate, even though I am not a heavy user. Coverage has deteriorated rapidly the last few months, and my recent bill they charged me 4 times for a 7-day 1gb data add on as mysteriously I had used all my 1gb data in less than 3 weeks.
I cant afford to be paying on average £60 per month, which is what its working out at. £35 all inclusive texts and calls, but for some reason my bills nearly double that. I am livid.
I dont know how to go about getting out of this and wondered if there was a thread for current EE customers who successfully exited their contract early?
Concerning the PAC code - can EE only give me this IF I exit my contract paying them off in full? There is no other legal way for me to get that PAC code as I want my number to be transferred to another provider.
Thank you

If you are in a contract you have very little chance of exiting it I'm afraid.0

Turn off mobile data, and move to Three as soon as your contract is up.
And get more savvy before agreeing to carp deals in future!!0 -
My own experience with EE was that they are incompetent, their customer service is truly awful and their network(s) congested.
*The website, billing system and app are bug-ridden.
*If you have a problem the customer service team will never get back to you or keep their promises.
*Correcting a simple mistake will take many calls.
*You have to telephone them. You cannot email them and if you contact the social media team on Facebook or Twitter they will tell you to call.
*The people who you speak to on the phone act like a defence barrier, actively delaying the time when action needs to be taken.
*A complicated set of tariffs and 'add-ons' which don't work.
*The stores have no power to do anything and struggle with all the tariffs and rules.
*They have decommissioned some masts and not integrated others. Resulting in sudden reductions in capacity in areas that were previously OK.
I could go on for some time, sufficient to say I have had a very poor experience of them and am stuck in a contract with them. I'm leaving them as soon as I can and would not recommend anyone ever use them.0 -

Would you not be better trying to see where the data is being used.
What is the phone, and what do you use it for. Is something running in the background fetching data constantly ie Email or something heavily image laden ie Faceboook, Instagram etc.
Do you check you are on Wifi at home? Are you using the phone at home to watch videos or listen to music and its using 3G not wifi?
ON your bill could it be the data has been charged correctly, if you only should have paid for 1 lot of data not 4? Seems strange you use 1GB in three weeks then 4 x 1 GB in the last eek of the month, give after that you'd be back in the allowance data again.genuinegal21 wrote: »Concerning the PAC code - can EE only give me this IF I exit my contract paying them off in full? Sort of. You can request your PAC code at any time, EE cannot refuse to give it to you because you still have time to go on the contract, however if you use it before any minimum term is up then you will be liable for early termination penalties.
Early termination penalties are usually your standard monthly rental x months left and you may get some discount for paying early.0 -
The EE PAC code has to be used within 30 days of issue or it lapses and becomes invalid. As soon as you use it EE treat that as 30 days notice of termination of contract, so you will be charged a further 30 days (some flexibility here as their contracts are charged in advance so choose the date of changeover carefully.) If the phone is still in contract after that 30 days you will be charged accordingly as a lump sum for the remaining contract period.0
