!!!!!! - ESA WRAG - not even had 6 JC appt yet but sent letter requesting sicknote ?

hello, please and thankyou for any help!!!

i was granted E.S.A. having had a tribunal which ruled in my favour in march of this year and put in the WRAG.

the judge reccomended i was not reassesed for 24months.

i had to wait 18 months for the appeal, they said sorry, that would only give me potentially 6 months of leeway before being reassed officially, but the backlog of cases meant i shouldn't have anything to worry about....

i have been to maybe 3 (?) work focused interviews at the job centre, one every two months or so.

today i recieved a letter dated 5th november:

"the MedCert covering the period 7th january to 12th november is about to run out"

(this is the first such letter i have had requesting a sick note since being put in the WRAG in march).

does this mean i am about to be reassesed and this has just beaten the ESA50 through the post ?.

i am very worried and was hoping someone can work out what is going on ?.

dreading if i have to go through all of that again so soon.

thanks!!!

How much are you being paid each fortnight?

No, it does not mean you are being reassessed, it just means the last sicknote you gave must have been very long like 10 months or a year...?

And now it has run out.

But because you are in WRAG and you are getting paid every fortnight at the higher rate WRAG rate... you can ignore the letter, you don't need to supply another sicknote.

I would agree that you don't need to send another sick note, but you do need to contact them - if the error is not acknowledged then no one can check the system and your payments could stop. It *should* just take a phone call to get it sorted.

I would say only call them if the expected payment on 26th Novemebr does not arrive in the account. Calling before that date, s/he is likely to be told "ignore the letter" they won't do anything until a payment is missed.

*If* the payment does not go out on the 26th November, when s/he calls, the DWP will confirm there is an error and they will fix it in 5 minutes and issue the payment as a same day payment.

Don't waste your time and money, on something that is easily fixed **IF** it stops a payment.... and may never stop a payment.

    hello,

i get £202 per 2 weeks i think (?) i am definately in the WRAG group (re: the "workfocused interviews" i have been to 3).

my last sicknote was only 2 month one and finished in march (it only took me to around the period of the tribunal as i didn't need to provide anymore having had them rule in my favour).

however, the 14th november is 8months on from my tribunal, and 26 months on from being last assessed.

despite only being seen in march, officially i am now beyond the "advised 24 months" (...if it's 2 month backlog/leeway) ?

which has got me VERY worried.

(...pretty annoyed also if that is the case because i have been on the assessment rate for over 90% (bad maths) of the time whilst on ESA, despite them granting that i am infact not currently capable of work...)

    thanks

OOI... was your last payment on 29th October, and your next payment on 12th November? Doesn't matter if it wasn't that date.

I still recommend you ONLY call them if your payment does not reach your account. They must have entered the sicknote date wrong on your file, to expire on 12/11/2014.

You are NOT being reassessed, you have not been reassessed, there is nothing to worry about. If your payment is missed they will fix it and issue a same day payment within 5 minutes of your call.

It's been sent to you by the computer.... ignore it until it stops a payment.

    thanks sorry!

just it would seem to coinside with all of the woefull mess coming into fruition again and just before christmas!!! i thought.

yes i am expecting a payment in about 32 hours (AND counting !!).

and the next one which i "wouldn't be recieving" would be 24th of november -

should i just sweep it under the carpet until the 24th november or give them a ring ?

    THANKS

    (sorry for not reading properly)

You are not on the assement rate, you are on WRAG rate 101.15 a week.

    You presumably got paid arrears back in April/May ? about £1800.00 - £2,100 ?

I recommend sweeping under the carpet until the 24th November.

If you want to.... you can phone ATOS - 0800 2888777 option 3 (at least this is a freephone number), and ask if they have had your file referred to them for reasssessment by the DWP,
If they say "No" then forget about it
If they say "Yes" ask "Has the ESA50 been sent to you?"

yeah i cant remember but it was something like 2,000 (?) ...still in debt.

    but if you think £2,000/ (+30p/w) + 13 weeks = "80 weeks assessment rate" (?)

and i have been receiving the WRAG rate since a few weeks after march of this year (mid april - may (??? guess)) to current = ~ "6 months" ( "24 weeks")

    = 76% !

(that's ATLEAST "90%" if your maths are as bad as mine)

so basically you get assesment rate whilst you build up debt, then when you get backdated you can't even pay off the debt, then you get £100 per week for a while and try to save, and then they put you back to £70p/w to make you REALLY poor again...

meanwhile your sickness that is preventing you from working gets worse.

    pretty sweet deal huh!!!

    thanks for all your help!!!!
