My Plusnet account details

Although there's a slot for it my Plusnet a/c details online don't show the end date of my contract - is that usual?
If I cancel my contract before the end date is it true that I will not get any refund of line rental paid a year in advance?

Mine has a space there too, Maybe because it's a minimum term, so in theory, doesn't end, as such, but continues until cancelled?
I've just renewed and the advisor said if I cancelled early there would be a charge of (I think) £15.50 per remaining month. I don't pay line rental up front, so it may be different, although I suspect it will be the same, in that you will lose the balance.0 -

I recently cancelled Plusnet. I was on a monthly contract, but in any case your contract end date might well be different from your annual line rental end date. You're right, you will not get a refund for the remaining line rental.0 -
That's the catch I think [new to all this swapping] - 18 month contract with 6 months left to run, 12 month line rental up for renewal now - so to benefit from a year's line rental saver I'd "have to" stick with Plusnet at the end of the contract or give up on 6 months pre-paid line rental.....£70 odd - no more 18 month contracts for me as long as line rental savers are 12 month deals and moving is the only way to get the best deals?
I notice the new Plusnet unlimited contracts are 12 months - but as an existing customer they're not open to me?0 -

Same boat here, was looking to take up the new BT TV deal but only renewed line rental saver in August. Can't throw away £100 for the sake of it.
Lets hope Plusnet TV eventually comes out, they have been trialling it forever it seems.
Although still means I can swap to BT in time for Champions League in 20150 -
Asked this question about upfront telephone line payment to Plusnet only last week.
Yes.
If you leave them before the end of your minimum contract length e.g before the 12 months , you do lose your upfront line rental charge on all of the remaining contract. So if you leave after 6 months, you will lose the remaining 6 months rental. It's not refundable.
Plus if you look into the small print you will also be charged for so much a month of the contract left to go. On a Adsl+, off the top of my head, it's £5.40 a month of the remaining months to go.
So unless it's a good deal that costs out better even with the losses, it would be better to continue to end of contract, then jump ship.
But one thing was said, according to the help desk, you can move the contract to another home if you move, network availability withstanding. The more I live, the more I learn.

Hi SallyG,
I'd advise giving our customer options team a call if you're considering leaving.
They're here to off the best possible deal for you as we're keen to retain your valued custom if we can.
I know it may sound very biased coming from a representative of Plusnet such as myself but I really would give them a try and see if we're able to offer something that seems attractive to you.
