Postie can't fit mail in letter box, how does that make him a jobsworth?

I agree, they are literally frightened to disobey the new rules.
I was told by our earlier regular guy that it was something that was put into place in prep for privatisation, people have been sacked for the "offence", so we can't shoot the messenger can we FD?.
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed

Well since I asked them pretty please to leave my mail round the back in the conservatory and they said refused, YES, it was, plus it wouldn't fu88i88 fit:mad:, there's always the 1, I just attract them

"refused" you say, my take on it, they are not allowed to leave post in an open unsecured conservatory.

I must admit, seeing those signs my first thought was the "please" was glaringly absent.
  • It does not look very large so I hope it does all that is needed. Not really big enough for a few deliveries that I get. It's a pity that something a little bit bigger, which came closer to the size of the rectangular area, could not be found.

However if it works for you, then that is all that matters.

    Look's like a good solution ;)

I hope my local postie doesn't suddenly decide he's no longer allowed to open my porch and leave parcels there :(

Posties often find they can bend the rules when it suits though, if you look carefully you'll see a stainless steel letter box affixed to the first post by the boat ramp :D

Needless to say that after a couple of weeks, and a somewhat dramatic increase in letters posted to the property in question :p my incorrectly positioned letter box was suddenly preferable to one positioned in line with New Zealand Post guidelines :rotfl:
