How to obtain credit reports

Other lenders only see searches too not whether they were successful applications (although this could be inferred to an extent by seeing if you have a credit agreement starting shortly after the search). I would try to stick to 2 searches max in a 6 month period (particularly if both were rejected)0

It only goes back 6 years which, I believe, is all the lender is obliged to keep legally, and therefore all they will supply to the CRA0 -

Barclays are unlikely to give you any more information than telling you the CRA. I think they search both Experian and Equifax so I would order your £2 statutory reports from both of these agencies.
Check your electoral roll information is up to date and that are no late payments or incorrect information
If all is in order, it could just be that this is your first credit card. You may need to set your sights lower than Barclaycard and build up a credit card repayment history with a sub prime lender for a couple of years0 -

If you are applying with your postal address, there is a potential problem if this doesn't match up with the electoral roll. Which address do your credit agreements show?
I assume that you select the PAF post code lookup address and don't type in your address manually when you apply?0 -
Councils community charge which they use for electoral roll is diff from postal address
