Talktalk fibre deal any advice or views

Recently upgraded to fibre was paying around £30 per month with standard bband and land rental but with medium fibre and line rental its £37.70 first 12months then £42.70.
Fingers crossed the switch to fibre is painless in a weeks time. Oh forgot to mention £5 router delivery + £15 activation charge (which they say is out of their control since BT OpenReach carries this out)
Anyone advise if this an acceptable deal. I wasnt interested in the TalkTalk TV bundle since already have Sky
I feel may have missed a trick since didnt push for further discounts with the advisor like discounted line rental since read in other threads some members got this reduced. Its currently £14.35 and going up to £16.70 in Dec14 (it was around £9.50 a year ago if paid in advance as a lump sum!!)
Would be interested to know what deals other forum members have wangled with TT
I have been with them since 2008 but this held no clout with the sales advisor who thankfully was based in Hull
Had two recent nightmare calls to India / SouthAfrica call centre where line got cut off while i was waiting, very poor connection made it difficult to understand the customer advisor and standard of spoken english was very questionable in terms of accents and understanding what I was asking them to resolve
In end I gave up after 18mins and hung up, last straw being they transferred me to the wrong dept in India and I had to repeat for the fourth time my security questions
What an absolute shambles:(
Any views appreciated
