    Quiet - cemetery adjacent.

'Popular area' - Estate, full of chavs

'Gently sloping' - Any admission of slope = steep.

'Pleasant outlook' - You can see some trees over those rooftops.

'Convenient for the M5' - The roar of the M5 is audible in the garden.

'Character property' - You won't need a spirit level with this one.
  • A local Agent described a property as having "indecipherable views"

I suppose it means you just can't work out what it is that you're seeing when you look out the window:)

    'Realistically Priced' - Unrealistically priced.

'Offers in excess of X' - estate agent knows no-one is going to pay anywhere near X, but deluded owner believes that place is worth X + 50-100k.

Basically make your own mind up after viewing the house, ignore the estate agent.

"Ideal for first-time buyers or investors"

This looks like a positive, but what many agents really mean is "fine if you haven't got the deposit to buy anything else, or aren't going to live there yourself"

Oh dear, Estate agents always say that with the type of house I own and live in!

Isn't this how house buying works in Scotland?

In London, I wouldn't say a property was near to a station unless it is literally above or next door. A "1-hour commute" usually results in it taking 2 hours from door to door.

Describing house by number of bedrooms is a big con. Houses must be described by available floor space area, plot size etc.

Price should also be quoted by £/sq feet so that it is easy to compare 2 houses like for like.
Happiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.

im not bothered by this really - the major issue for my family when moving was number of bedrooms, not necessarily their relative size (within reason).
