Cheap Energy Club - wrong by £300+

Is the Cheap Energy Club calculator supposed to be accurate? I assumed that because I entered my usage and tariff, it could calculate it properly.

I have the exact consumption and exact cost of my bill. The CEC calculator is out by +£312. Fortunately, I was wise enough to check the figures it churned out.

Consequently I have to reduce any gain by £312, which is a huge factor! It means that all but one of the deals will cost me more, yet it is advertising them as saving me money.

It would be good to get an official answer, I'd be happy to pass on the details to an MSE'r to check. the cost to people using this tool could be huge if they are signing up to more expensive deals.

The caveat could of course be that it is calculating costs for an expiring deal that I can't calculate from last years' costs, but this isn't clear form the form or the results.
Thanks in advance,

Steve V
