STILL no word on the competition. Dying to email and ask if they’ve contacted the winner (ie, is it not me then?! :rotfl:).

Both DC went back to school yesterday. DS1 had a maths test first day back to determine which sets they should be in next year. They had 90 minutes and he said he was done in 45 mins :eek:. I asked him what he did for the rest of the time and he said he spent 30 minutes checking all his answers again and then daydreamed for the rest .

MiL had a cataract operation today and she’s feeling ‘old and fragile’. She’s 72 but you wouldn’t believe it. Today she says she feels it .

Hope it goes well for her Beanie. MiL said she was sat in the waiting area with ‘all old people’ :rotfl:. She got a shock when she realised she’s ‘old’ too :cool:.

First week back at school done. It was only a 4 day week but it felt quite long. DS1 got his maths results back and got 3rd highest mark out of everyone. Very proud of him.

Money wise everything is a bit tight. We have enough to cover bills but not a lot else. Have raided the Christmas money tin a couple of times, so that will have to be put back at the end of next week when we get some more in.

DH and I were voted Couple of the Year at our SW class .

Well hello Mrs H, how are you and all the little hinges?

Thank you Hairy and Beanie.

Today has been hard going. DH hasn’t retained information well and I’ve had to repeat myself A LOT. On top of this, he doesn’t seem to be hearing too well either and I’ve had to repeat myself due to that too . I’m going to have an early night tonight before I snap. My head is pounding.

One of the other competition entrants has been in touch with me and believe it or not we’ve made friends and bonded :T. Between us we’ve found out that the entries were whittled down last week and the judging panel will meet this week to decide. Keep your fingers crossed for us please. And if I don’t win, I hope my new friend does!!
