I can remember reading that a 60watt bulb cost around 1p per hour to burn - mind that was a number () of years ago, but I tell myself that the new bulbs (LED etc) probably only cost around that now. I may be living in cloud cuckoo land, but with my house lit up practically 24 hours a day it makes me feel better. :rotfl:

I bet it costs more than that now, probably £1 a minute judging by my electricity bill :(.

Hope DS is feeling better and that he hasn't been too kind and shared his germs with you. :)
  • DS2 has been off school again today, but think he’ll be back tomorrow. However DS1 has taken over the snot batton and I’d be surprised if he’s well enough to go to school tomorrow. He came in from school and asked for paracetamol before disappearing to his bed .

Met my Grandma and Sister for lunch today which was nice as always. The Italian cafe we went to is near the playhouse, and the cast of the pantomime were in for lunch too. It was hard trying to explain quietly to my Grandma who Antony Costa is when he’s sat right next to you and she’s hard of hearing :rotfl:.

Swapped Christmas presents with Sis and G’ma incase I don’t see them again before the big day. Hope we will, but we are off to Edinburgh on Sunday and have lots on otherwise too.

I just checked online HH and the cost for lighting isn't too bad:
100 watt incandescent bulb per hour £0.016p
    15W LED (100W equivalent ) per hour £0.002p

Definitely worth changing to LED though if you can. :)

  • Those prices aren’t too bad Chrystal! Of course they need multiplied by 24 hours and by every room of the house :rotfl:.

Happy Thursday to you too Beanie (and everyone else) :D.

DS1 was indeed off school today but seemed to make a rapid recovery around 11am . I’m loaded now and off to bed very soon.

DH has been in an awful mood all day. He’s sitting fizzing now and I have no idea why. He’s been the same all day and I honestly don’t have to energy for it.

Splashed out on a new coat today :o. I’m too fat for my other one and can’t fasten it over jumpers. No good for the Winter, or for traipsing round Edinburgh, so bit the bullet. Had £18 on a gift card and some Christmas money from my Mum, so put that towards it too.
