DH has been better yesterday and today, thanks all.
Had a new smart meter fitted today. We already had an (old style) electricity one, but we were offered a much more up to date dual fuel one. I think it’s best use will be to show the kids how much they waste :rotfl:. I shared something on FB recently that said “If my kids knew there was a light in the oven they’d leave that one on too”. Would be funnier if it wasn’t true.
Oakley’s dog toy win arrived today. It’s huge!! It’s a cuddly reindeer and could easily be sold as a cuddly toy for humans! He loves it though, and is currently using it as pillow while he snoozes :A. It was supposed to be for Christmas but DS2 gave it to him straight away *rolls eyes*.Debts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Good to hear DH has been better. Lights are a bone of contention in our house as well. If we go out when we're driving back down the road our house looks like Blackpool Illuminations. Bad enough that every light is on but they never close the curtains either
We both walk in with hubby shouting 'turn those bloody lights off' and me shouting 'it's like a bloody goldfish bowl' You'd think they'd learn but they never do.

Lucky Oakley
He certainly is a spoiled dog. Mainly with love and affection but now with toys too.

I can remember reading that a 60watt bulb cost around 1p per hour to burn - mind that was a number () of years ago, but I tell myself that the new bulbs (LED etc) probably only cost around that now. I may be living in cloud cuckoo land, but with my house lit up practically 24 hours a day it makes me feel better. :rotfl:I Believe.....

DS2 has been off school loaded with cold today. I know I sound like an awful mother, but I’m looking forward to him going to bed as I’ve had enough of the sniffing and snorting
. *
The local cat and dog shelter had an appeal recently for blankets etc, and I’ve collected quite a few from friends and family, so I dropped them off today. Hopefully the animals will be a bit cosier tonight :A.
Spent the rest of the day tidying and getting on top of paperwork etc. Feel really tired for not having done much. Hope I’m not getting DS’ cold .
*To make me feel even worse for saying that, he’s just come to sit on my knee and give me a hug ‘just because he loves me’.
