  • The birthday celebrations continue today as DS1 is officially a teenager! Had a tea party with family tonight, and he's having a friend over on Friday for a sleepover.

One last day of eating rubbish tomorrow as we have plenty of party food left, and then back on the straight and narrow. 364 days to get skinny rather than being 'fat n 40' :rotfl:.

  • Thanks HI and Beanie. He had a fab day and is now much richer than me :p.

I've spoken to Dr over the phone today as I had to stop taking the medication I'd been given as it was making me really ill. Unfortunately I can now barely walk as the pain is so bad now I'm not taking the medication :(. I've been prescribed pain killers which need collected tomorrow, and I have to have cotisone injections into my feet in 2 weeks time . I've heard they really sting :(.

As a result, I've asked work to extend my leave. I had to do that online so will have to wait for the answer. There's no way I can stand for hours at a time. Someone today asked me if I'd had an operation because of how I was walking, and someone else asked why I didn't have crutches, so it's obviously obvious (!) that there's something wrong.

  • Poor you Lucky - that's sounds awful. Do hope the Doc will be able to prescribe something else for you.

Sorry to hear about your painful feet, sounds terrible, hope the injections work, although can imagine it will hurt as the skin on feet is so tight :(
