But surely that would make it more worthwhile for them? If people don't collect then they make more profit?

My vets don't issue them until you ring up to request it and if you don't ring well its your loss and not theirs.

Is there another vet nearby Pooh that do a scheme? (I appreciate you are in the back of beyond)

They always made up the bags for people but they weren't collected. I always collected mine as I had paid for them.
Sadly nothing else within 20 miles. I am going to phone them to see what they can do to help.

  • EE, Oakley had to be weighed this time as he was borderline for dosage last time. He weighs 22kg now, so big for a Springer. Vet actually said that he's like a supermodel- lean and leggy - so not overweight :rotfl:. Perhaps the extra large dose accounted for the hefty price!!

DS2 has spent lots of time in the cupboard under the stairs checking if his trainers still glow today :rotfl:.

Pooh, I'm thrilled to hear of your new doggie. Hope you can get something sorted with vets Xx

  • Happy September!

Busy weekend - at a wedding on Saturday which was beautiful and full of surprises! Best was the Groom had arranged the cast of the Bride's favourite West End musical to come and perform for her! I'll never forget the look on her face when they came on stage :T.

Yesterday DS2 was at his best friend's party in the afternoon, and then the evening was filled with waves of fear and confusion for DH :(.
He's vague today and keeps asking me to remind him where things are kept etc, but otherwise no seizure activity.

Money situation has not improved, if anything it's got worse :(. Don't know how we are going to manage the next 2 weeks.

Off to docs this morning as my feet are really bad and I'm struggling to walk. When I phoned for an appointment last week they said the first one was 5 weeks time! Called in for a complaint form, and they found me an appointment for today. Funny that!

    Boys back to school tomorrow.

  • It is, isn't it beanie?! Disgusting.

Dr himself was lovely. I've got a massive dose of Naproxen for a month, along with something to help my stomach as it's likely to react with my anxiety drugs. Wonderful :(.

DH has had more 'waves' since lunchtime :(:(.

What a fab surprise for the bride! Glad you enjoyed it.

Boo to feet, doctors and Mr Lucky. Our doctors is the same, you can't get through on the phone, then when you do you can't get an appointment unless you ring at 8am on the day and then you can't get through .....

After about three years of painful feet , I feel for you. I had to go and see three different doctors before I was diagnosed with planter fasitis. I was told it was one of those conditions that just goes away one day, and it did , three years later. Whilst I had it I felt like I was walking like an elderly person who has trouble walking. Now thankfully all better and can walk for miles again. As for trying to make a doctors appointment at my GP it depends on who answers the phone, one receptionist is lovely the other makes you feel guilty for being ill.xx

  • Amber, I first had plantar fasciitis about 4 years ago I think, brought on by walking an unplanned ridiculous distance in flat ballet pumps. It lasted about a year but was worse in one foot and the other was only mildly affected. This time, both feet are really bad and it often feels like I'm trying to walk on metal spikes. Hopefully being back on naproxen will help, though it has upset my tummy already :(.

Boys have both had an enjoyable first day back at school. Long may that continue! DH has been more himself today too :T.

Maybe get your Dr to also prescribe omprazole.
They will help with the tummy issues.
Hope you dont have to wait for 5 weeks for another appointment.
