  • Hopefully my manager will be in when I get there later and I'll talk to her then Xx

So annoyed with Mr Lucky. Dropped him off at the gym for a class this morning 10-11am. He said he'd run back which is just a short distance via main path or accross a farm track, but he's taken himself on another route and got lost . He's still not home. I can see where he is and he's back on a main route now, but I'm so annoyed. I've offered to go pick him up but he doesn't want me to as he's all muddy. So I'm sat here seething, watching a dot move on a map, desperate for my lunch and need to get ready as I'm leaving for work in just over an hour. I've walked the dog this morning in pouring rain, washed the dishes, done some ironing, sorted some washing, fed the kids and the dog, and now I have to go to work while worrying about his state of mind. Fed up :(.

  • He's just got home Mummy. I'm still mad at him. I know he's an adult but he's not really, and I'm getting sick of being everyone's look out, memory, worrier etc. Sorry if that sounds harsh Xx

  • PLMBL the pressure on you is immense, I rarely post but I admire you tremendously. You are allowed to feel overwhelmed sometimes. Just a thought - maybe instead of your job a volunteer role might be a possibility - less exhausting , good people to be with, time out from the house and maybe expenses paid too? CAB often need volunteers and whilst adviser training is full on receptionist or information worker is much less arduous and your experience would be great. Just a thought amoung many. x

My direct boss wasn't in but I spoke to the boss above her and he's going to look into the possibility of me going seasonal, which would mean I don't actually leave (so can keep my discount card :T) but can take some time off. Will see what he comes back with next week Xx

    Good. :).
Many different roles available as a CAB volunteer.
    Look into it.
I am one. Gets me out of the house and I feel like I am contributing something.

  • Feeling a bit better today, sorry for the moan yesterday :o. Took the dog for a long walk in the crisp air this morning and had a word with myself!!

Shopping scan people called to find out why I haven't been scanning much recently. Truth be told I keep forgetting until I've put half of it away, and they were being a bit funny on the phone so I told them to cancel my account. One less thing to deal with! He said I had 90 days to redeem any points I have, so I went straight online and was ecstatic to find I had enough for 10 cinema tickets :T. They will help in the coming half terms. Makes me a bit sad that I've cancelled now, but it really is a chew on so I'm not looking back!

DH's best mate has been round to wire in the fire MiL bought us for Christmas. It looks fab and it makes such a difference. Doubt we'll ever use it for heat, but the glow setting is nice and according to the box it costs less than 1p per day to run :rotfl:.

Scary moment when Mr Lucky went AWOL :( Glad you feel better today. A good long dog walk is a great cure for the blues. Can't wait to be able to take mine out again. Great news on the cinema tickets :)
