  • Hope you are feeling better now BM. I've had a few wobbles here and there but overall I feel better than I did. Hoping the folate supplements are doing their job.

Not a great deal to report. DS2 turns 7 tomorrow which is very exciting for him, bless him. We are having a family tea party after school tomorrow and then out with his friends on Sunday. This has not lent itself to any NSDs as I've been buying cinema tickets, presents, food and cakes etc.

I also had to buy not one but two new leads for Oakley yesterday . His snapped on a walk yesterday, and as it was an extendable one, the rest of it zipped back in to the handle, never to be seen again. Thankfully, we were right outside a vets when it happened, so I nipped in and bought the one and only lead they had for £7. It got us round the rest of our walk but it really wasn't very good, so I bought a 'proper' one at the pet store yesterday afternoon. It was £26  but it practically walks him itself :rotfl: Xx

    Getting there , thank you.

7th birthday, oh how fab, such a yummy age.

Dog lead sounds good, need one of those, Mr Borrow My Doggy was a real mischief on Tuesday, trying to chew everything and got into Big Cats cupboard polished off his breakfast with his bronchitis tablet! Quick call to vets and an :o text to the owner. Fortunately he has a track record... lemon sherbet and a vets visit! :rotfl:

I am hoping he is on better behaviour tomorrow!

  • Thanks everyone, he had a lovely birthday. Had family over for a party tea and birthday cake on the day itself, and we've been to the cinema and for Pizza today with 3 of his friends. It cost us £70 in total, but I got 2 cinema tickets free using CEA card and Odeon points, took snacks and drinks in for them, and used a 41% off voucher at Pizza Hut, so I'm quite pleased with what I saved never mind what I spent!!

Last night was horrendous at work. Really want to quit :(.

Glad the birthday celebrations went well :)

Sorry work was grim :(, if you quit could you manage on the benefit payments until you could find something else?
    Must use my stash up!
  • I'm scared I won't find anything else KW. I can only earn £20 a week and then they take the extra off me Xx

Is it really worth all the hassle for £20 a week? Especially now you don't have debt repayments. Glad DS enjoyed his birthday xx
