  • Thanks both. Summer holidays are finally here :j:j:j. Shame I'm starting them with a huge cold sore on my lip and a swollen tongue :(. Feeling wiped out, run down and not looking forward to work later.

Went out for a meal last night with DH's Best Mate and some of his family to celebrate his daughters 21st. It's not actually her birthday until September, but she leaves to start a year's work in Germany in about a week's time. It was nice to be out socialising as a family, and bless him, BM insisted on paying :A.

Just dropped Mum off at the airport (alright for some, it's about her 4th hol this year!), and MiL is away visiting a friend for a few days, so I'm leaving DS1 in charge of DH tonight while I'm at work. Fingers crossed......

  • Thanks mummy, all was ok last night but we were quiet so I left half an hour early just incase.

We've had a lovely day today at an Invasion event at an outdoor museum. Lots of people dressed up as folk from Star Wars/Superheroes/Ghost Busters etc. Brilliant photo opportunities and apart from £3.50 to park, it was completely free! Don't know who enjoyed it more, the boys or DH!! Took a picnic and the weather held until we were on our way home :T.

  • Evening all!

Was about to say I'm enjoying the slower pace of the holidays, though haven't been on here since Sunday so it can't be that slow!!! Took the boys swimming on Monday, had a day in the garden yesterday, and today we took my Grandma out for a few hours. The boys navigated a pirate maze and played crazy golf while Grandma and I spectated from a table outside the cafe .

Lost 5lbs at fat class yesterday :j.

    Still nothing from DWP.

Feeling a bit down again tonight, wish it would stop happening. Lots of things getting on my nerves which isn't like me.

    Great loss :j :j

easy for me to say I know but try not to worry about the DWP too much. That will be at the back of your mind most likely & make you feel on edge.
    Keep plodding :)

I'm sure I've gained what you have lost :o

I'm on the bandwagon waiting for the DWP too, apparently renewals have been 1-2weeks in our neck of the woods recently

I feel the same tonight, just abit glum and grumpy. I'm blaming the weather, its been sunny, cloudy, raining, sunny, cloudy, on and off all day! not suprised I'm befuddled!!

    Much love

  • Thank you both :A. Beanie, I think you are probably right that it's the PIP thing affecting my mood. It's been over 2 weeks since the text saying they had everything they need to make a decision, and getting on for 3 weeks since the assessment. The thought of having to fight the decision if it's not in our favour is making me feel weary, so a letter confirming he has been awarded it would lift my mood immediately!

Bit of a change in the weather today, dull and dreary. It's not raining yet so I've pegged out, but it's forecast from lunchtime so hopefully it'll dry by then. Thinking of the cinema for today's activity, bit of Ghostbusting! Xx
