Great news the cheque has arrived :) Bet you can't wait for the bank to open to get it paid in. Sorry to hear about Mr Lucky having a nasty turn at the wedding and that DS has been ill. Hope they're both feeling better now.

  • Happy Easter :EasterBun.

DS2 has been right as rain since he was sick. Apparently he is one of 5 or 6 wedding guests who have been ill so there was obviously a bug lingering on the day. Shame.

My Mum unexpectedly offered to have the boys stay overnight last night :j. By the time I finished work I couldn't be bothered to go out anywhere though, so DH and I just got an Indian takeaway and sat infront of the tv while I thought up Easter Bunny clues! Had a lovely lie in this morning despite losing an hour with the clocks changing, and the boys enjoyed their Easter hunt when they got back late morning.

Storm Katie hit at about 1pm so we haven't been far. Tomorrow is supposed to be dry so we'll do something outdoors if possible.

Thankfully we have got off very lightly with Storm Katie - torrential rain and thick snowflakes this morning but cleared up around 11am, although it's still quite windy. Without wishing to tempt fate we seem to get off very lightly where I live with extremes of weather thankfully, maybe because we're smack bang in the middle of the country and more sheltered - although where I live right at the top of a hill there is nothing behind our house at the back and it can get very windy.

Great to hear DS is better now and that you managed to get a quiet "date" night in.

  • Glad you got off lightly SA, we had hail the size of footballs yesterday - amazed the windows didn't crack!

This morning was wet (it wasn't supposed to be!) but DH and his mate went out for a run as planned anyway. It was lunchtime by the time mate left and DH was showered etc. We thought about going to the cinema but looking online the only seats left were all scattered rather than together, so we'll leave that until another day. DH and DS2 have gone to help MiL in her garden and I'm taking DS1 to his parkour class. For now I'm watching Say Yes to the Dress; Bridesmaids and freaking out that I'm gonna look a big fat moose in 9 weeks time :(.

Your weather has not been kind recently, has it?

Do wish you'd stop comparing yourself to large animals, Lucky; am sure that's not at all accurate! :p

In 9 weeks you could easily lose a stone without starving. (Says she who has taken 3 months to lose 4.5lb). But seriously you could. :)

I wish I could - it's recommended to lose between 1 and 2lb per week, no more, to keep it off in the long run. So do-able - in theory :) Move more, eat less. Ahem! It's taking me forever stepuptothepl8 - I have 12 weeks to get beach body ready.
