  • Thanks all, I had a lovely evening. Stuck to diet coke so feel fresh today. Well, as fresh as I can be with how jerky DH was last night . I *may* have had some snacks though :o. Hope it doesn't impact on the scales on Tuesday .

Thick snow here today. Taking DS1 to school this morning and back home took 90minutes rather than the usual 30 in rush hour!! I can do it in 15 minutes in no traffic! Not going back out in that unless I have to, so no gym this morning. Will do a fitness dvd instead.

  • 2 pounds off a massive woop woop from me - you are doing so well.

iPad eh? What a lucky guy, although I am sure he knows that already. I remember his birthday as its the same day as my nephew! Pizza express is such a great place to go for dinner and don't forget you can still use the vouchers if you are going there and paying with a gift card so voucher up if possible. (have you got a case for the iPad too? I am sure you are far more sensible than I am but I nearly broke mine when it was only hours old as I dropped it)!

We don't get much snow in the West Country so I am told, which I was a little sad about but hearing about your trip not so much! I hope pick up is easier.

Hope DH does better tonight x

 well done on the -2lbs!

Ipad I second a good cover!! Superman has a griffin survivor case and it is amazing, his ipad is 4 years old now and has survived many a melt-down-sling-it-across-the-room moments!

    Happy birthday Little Lucky!

  • Lucky DS2 - hope he enjoys his present! And what a lovely idea to go for a family meal (and less stressful for you than organising a party!)
  • Brilliant idea about the tougher case for the iPad, thank you. I'd never even heard of Griffin. Good idea about the restaurant vouchers too Sparky, thanks Xx

Snow has turned icy which is way less fun, however the main roads have now been gritted so are much better. My car has been recalled by the manufacturer due to an identified fault in the model, so I had to drive that to the garage this morning. I wasn't relishing the journey but it wasn't too bad actually. MiL picked us up and brought us back home, and I'm now waiting for a phone call to say we can go back to collect the car again. Hopefully early afternoon before school pick up!!

Had the gas and electricity yearly review through by email.:eek:
is about all I can say to that. I thought we had really cut back this year, but we are still well above average consumption. To be fair though, there is someone in a lot of the time so what is average for a working fanily isn't average for us. Depressing reading though.
