  • Thanks all!

Quiet day in the house yesterday until I went to work. DH had a jog with paramedic mate in the morning, but the boys didn't even change out of their pjs all day until they put clean ones on for bed :o. I think they needed it. Work wasn't too busy last night, but I ruined our NSD by getting some bits of food shopping when I finished.

Today we went trampolining which was DS1's choice for 'Family Fun Friday' but isn't possible on a Friday night so we went today instead. We had a good giggle and all burnt some calories. This afternoon my Mum and Grandma called in to see us :D, and I spent some time catching up on surveys and entering competitions.

DS1 has been a mix of good and bad emotional wise the last few days. I think he's feeling pressure for his looming SATS, and his homework seems to have quadrupled all of a sudden .

All sounding good Lucky. I would so love a PJ day but dog dictates otherwise. Too much pressure for DS1 too young I think.

  • Evening!

DH has been extra forgetful today. Things like watching me fill the washing basket, offering to take it downstairs to put it in the machine for me, and then immediately walking away without it. I know I shouldn't get annoyed with him but it gets VERY frustrating when it's ALL day long.

Still no NSD today as we needed a few bits of shopping again. Honestly, it's embarrassing how much we are spending on food at the moment. I really need to be tougher with the budget.

It's supposed to get down to minus 4 here through the night. Almost tempted to put the heating on overnight. Will resist but really hope DS2 doesn't wake up during the night Xx

  • Morning Lucky

So great that hubby has gone so long without a seizure. I can definitely sympathise on dealing with the forgetfulness, I had my mum to stay a few years ago and she was early onset dementia. As much as I love her she absolutely drove me nuts to the point that I thought I was going mental. I can see how that can be very wearing for you all day every day. Guess you need to make sure you have time out from it all maybe once a week etc just to regroup and have a rest. :A

I also have a young boy here that is stressing about up coming SATS, not too sure what to do to help him really, its frustrating as SATS are more for the school to prove they have taught the children well rather than any great reflection on the childs ability, high school will reassess when they get there anyway, so it's all alot of stress for no reason, but I don't want to tell him that and make him not bother at all :o. Its going to be a full on few months that's for sure xxxx

Hope you have a good day x

  • Wise words indeed Steph, thank you. Cheers Brizzle.

Still very cold here but no snow yet, which I'm very grateful for!

Lost 2lbs at chub club :j. DH lost 4 and got Slimmer of the Week with it's accompanying fruit basket :T.

It's DS2's birthday next Tuesday and he desperately wants an iPad. We've clubbed together and that's what he's getting (shh don't tell him :D). Managed to get £40 off it as it had the wrong price ticket, and then a further £20 off in staff discount :j. DS2 understands it's a very expensive present and has therefore had to forego a party, but we are going to use the £100 Pizz@ Express gift card I won last October and have a family meal on his birthday :D.

Going next door later to have a catch up with my friends. Looking forward to it! Xx
