  • Wow lucky, you are so nearly there with the debt. Sounds like you son's birthday is very close to my sons. Ds will be 11 on the 15th Sept :D.
Reading what Nicky said about you being debt free by the next Summer hols made me determined that we will also be debt free by then too.
Our sons will be having their last Summer holidays before starting high school so will be nice to afford to do something more special.

Hope you do well at Chub Club :T

  • lucky I have my fingers crossed with your weight loss I so want you to reach that milestone!!

You have a few birthdays this month dont you. 11 is a funny old age, grown up but still young as child like isnt it? Not a teenager but not a 'child'. I hope he is also behaving himself and not been difficult recently. x

    Paid off all Catalogues 10.10.2014
  • Steph, their birthdays are very close, my DS1 is the 12th. I was in labour with him the whole of my birthday from 9am, but he didn't arrive until 11am the next day!

Beanie, no way are you old enough to have a 22 year old .

Sparky, he is definitely more teenage than child now mores the pity. He has been so-so, but regularly thinks we are all horrible and we are the nasty/moody/unfair ones not him, and his little brother is to blame for EVERYTHING.

So I lost 2lbs last night not the 2.5lbs I needed. Still have half a pound to go for the 4 stone. DH lost 5lbs and is right back down at the bottom end of his target range. MiL kept the boys overnight last night (DH organised it with her without my knowledge as he felt 'we' needed a night off!!!), and he wanted to take me out for a meal but 1) we can't afford it and 2) I want that award this week. Nice thought though. Instead I made a curry and he then ate a load of cakes and cookies etc while I polished my halo.

Had a relaxed morning and collected the boys at 11am. Sister coming for tea tonight.

  • Afternoon all! Isn't it cold? :(. I've got a jumper on (which is now too long in the sleeves since I lost weight??!!), but I'm thinking of putting the heating on . Feels more like November than September.

Took boys swimming again this morning (couldn't afford to do anything else with just £6 to my name), but it was perfect as lots of schools went back today and we were the only ones in the pool for most of it. Played board games/uno this afternoon. I'm off to Bums and Tums again later (must be mad!!), as lovely neighbour really wanted to go back and she doesn't drive so I felt compelled to offer. Bless her she said she'll pay for me (£3) as it's my diesel we use. It isn't far at all so I think I get the better deal. Apart from having to do the class that is :rotfl:.
