Morrisons Bonus

It seems we are beginning to see loyalty cards for what they really are at last - a very unsubtle way of ensuring our money gets into their (Tesco etc) tills instead of any rivals. They drip feed the points and coupons purely to persuade us to pay another visit, boost their profits and so the cycle goes on.Recently I used my fuel card as usual. It was snatched away and the new card substituted. I do not wish to register this new card and have my shopping habits tracked so will not be availing myself of their new initiative I'm afraid.
They view us as fools, and for the most part we don't disappoint. :eek:Never trust a financial institution.

(£40 is not a terribly large shop for two. £15 for meat and fish, £10 for fruit and vegetables, £5 for dairy, £6 for a bottle of wine. That leaves less than £10 for 'unnecessary' and other bit and pieces.)
Probably not, but for one (me) its a third of my monthly budget.Luckily I don't bother with Morrisons I use Aldi or Lidls if I need to, and my local shop for fresh wet fish.Locally the Family Bargains shop does 24 Regina loo rolls for 5.99 and they are quilted and extremely good quality .when you live alone you soon learn where to shop for bargains and I'm afraid Morrisons isn't one of them.My DD goes there now and again but uses Iceland and family bargains more as there are 6 in her family so every penny counts.I don't drink wine very often so thats not a problem,I do spend about a third of my budget on fruit and veg though, especially veg in the winter as I enjoy HM soups & stews padded out with lentils or oats. Not a great milk drinker either and a 4pint bottle at the moment is 89p from Icelands and that lasts me 6-9 days.Puddings I will make with powdered milk of evaporated milk.My freezer is stuffed full of HM things and if I note a bargain I will get it whilst its available I bought a huge bag of pasta a couple of weeks ago in MrTs as it was only £2.00 and it will last me for several months I think (I also got one for my DGS at Uni to keep him going until Christmas)0 -
Morrisons are putting all of their remaining eggs into the "big family shop" basket. Pensioners, students, single people, those on low incomes and those who buy small amounts of fresh produce regularly are actively being shunned and driven away.
If you don't like what they're doing, vote with your feet and shop elsewhere.0 -
We keep getting vouchers from Tesco, spend £40, get £5 off or variations.
We rarely spend that much in one go as meat, fish, bread, fruit and veg is bought from local producers. Cat doesn't eat enough to justify spending£400
