Samsung S4 and McAfee help please

Hi

I have just tried to install McAfee anti-virus on my Samsung S4 - only because I had it for my PC anyway. My phone doesn't seem to work - there is green band at the top of it that wasn't there before. Does anyone know what this is? I don't know whether it is related to the McAfee but I can't receive or send texts or calls..not even to EE on the 150 number..

You can't get into the app drawer, Play Store app or Settings, Downloaded Apps to uninstall it? Might need a factory reset then. Last resort though!

OMG it's so stressful! Is it likely that McAfee has caused this? I can't seem to get into anything and there is no mobile data or signal.

It sounds like McAfee is to blame but it's hard to tell. Did it stop working the minute you installed the app? Hopefully someone who knows better than me can help. If you factory reset you'll lose your text messages. Can you connect it to a PC and back up your stuff with Samsung software?

Thanks - I've uninstalled via settings.. now seems ok! Thanks. Maybe I didn't have it fully installed. Doesn't seem right..
