Compensation due to inbound flight delay

Hi,
I have been looking at previous posts and general information and just need clarification on a key point.
Our flight home from Greece to Birmingham was delayed over 6 hours due to the flight into Greece being delayed.
The airline was monarch and the reason given for the delay was that a crew member was taken ill on the flight into Greece resulting in the flight being diverted.
Do we still qualify for compensation?
Thanks in advance,
Roo

Why isn't this on the Monarch thread? You say you've been reading around the forum, so much better to post there.0
