Declined for Creation Everyday Card - Don't Know Why....?

Options
They say:
Our decision is based upon information we received from a Credit Reference Agency. If you would like a copy of your consumer file, please contact Equifax.

I went to Equifax, and started a 30 day Free Trial to view my Credit Report. I can see my Credit Score is above average (440) and that I don't have any problems, except for the fact I'm not registered on the electoral roll and I've just registered for it online.

I tried to submit another application but it got declined as well ... I called Equifax asking if they can see what's the problem ... except for the Electoral Roll there isn't any other major issue, everything else looks good.

So any idea why they declined my application? They told me I can send them the credit report by post, but I'm not sure if this is the right procedure to get it through ... any other idea what could be missing here, or what could prevent me from being approved for the card?

Not being on the electoral roll is a big negative, it could well be that causing you to be declined.

Ideally wait until your credit files reflect that you are now on the electoral roll before you apply again.

...which at this time of year (ie during the annual canvas of electors) may involve an 8 week wait until early January. You should also check all 3, not just Equifax again.

NB: This issue may also have caused/contributed to your N&P current account rejection (just mentioning in case you haven't already drawn that conclusion yourself?).

Yes, and good thing it was for N&P.

I've got the same problem, my electoral roll data shows as red, however I've lived here for 17 years and never had a problem with the council or done anything to remove myself but I too got turned down yesterday and got the same message.

Doesn't matter how long you've lived there, you still need to be on the electoral roll. It's actually illegal to not register, and you can be fined for it.
Credit 'Score' - Don't buy the credit 'score' that Experian, Equifax and Noddle want to sell you. It's an arbitrary number that means nothing when it comes to applying for credit.

ALWAYS HAVE A DIRECT DEBIT SET UP FOR THE MINIMUM PAYMENT ON YOUR CREDIT CARDS, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER YOU PLAN TO LOGIN AND PAY EACH MONTH.

Oh, it's good to know I'm not alone ... I'm 100% sure it's the reason! I was registered to vote at my previous address, I tried to apply again only with that address, I already got to the approval screen but then all of a sudden I was thrown into that "decline" page and that's probably because I got declined twice (hope I'm not doing anything stupid, I won't apply again, it is now considered that I applied several times which is not the greatest thing for me)....

Anyway, it's so easy to register to vote, you can do it online from here:

    https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote

I wasn't aware how easy that is to register yourself, you just fill in your details there and wait for your borough council to process it.

I'm now 100% sure it's the issue with the address, not with your credit score ... it sucks, I know, I have Halifax Clarity and would love to get a similar card ... it would be nice to go to the US and cashout at once $1,600 from the ATM if you ever need it (gambling in Las Vegas? lol) ... I hate all the other cards that charge you ATM fees abroad.

Also creation will auto decline within 6 month period
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

But I am on the electoral roll, I receive voting cards every election and by election, and when the form comes round my details are on it. I spoke to Equifax this morning and it says that Im unconfirmed but shows that I'm on the electoral roll.
