Vodafone tech support. Fit for purpose?

A couple of months ago Vodafone sent us an R206 mifi. Tried to use it yesterday and although we can connect we can't get into the Admin panel to change any passwords etc. The default password 'admin' keeps getting rejected. The only reason I can think of is that they have sent us a corporate instead of a personal one, corporate have a different default password so that only a companies IT dept. can get to the admin panel.
A phone call to Rana in tech support at Vodafone was spectacularly useless as:
A She had no idea what an R206 was
B She wanted me to 'reset' the handset by taking the battery out. When I explained what it was and that I was connected to it with a Hudl she wanted me to take the battery out of that!
C Refused to transfer me to someone who knew what they were talking about. I refuse to believe that a communications company can't transfer calls. Especially as my call was transferred to her from customer services in the first place.

She cant transfer you to someone who knows what they are talking about as there isnt anyone like that working for vodafone support. Vodafone tech support is just a basic call center function, staffed by anyone who applied for the job. Its all scripted. Nobody there has the faintest idea about technology. I bet most of them would struggle to turn their TVs on.0

That sounds about right. Well there is a few hours left until the 48hrs is up (I was promised a callback) but I won't hold my breath.0
