I moved last month and ds didn't seem to hardly notice! I did print off badges from a website (think it was linked to the Iammoving one) for ds that said things like "Chief toy-packer!" and "Tea-maker" and stuff like that for ds and me to wear on the day ... he thought it was great fun seeing vans turn up and stuff!!

  • Thank you to everyone. The overwhelming message I'm getting is that as long as I stay positive, the kids will be absolutely fine.

Shall try not to get too stressed about packing up the house and will resist the urge to throw old toys away! We have a moving date of next Wednesday so can slow down abit and get the girls abit more involved (they were helping me wrap up my wedding china this afternoon- I wouldn't recommend it!:rotfl: ),

Thanks again and any more suggestions or links are still appreciated.

I wouldnt worry about it. For the first couple of weeks there will be a kind of holiday atmosphere and after that they will be settled in. If you show them pictures of the old house they will miss it all the more. I think you should make a clean break from it.
