I enjoyed listening to that, but it still annoyed me that they were talking about their cheap flights. The lady who said how cheap her flights were at 99p! In my opinion there is no such thing as a 99p flight. I think the companies should be forced to include taxes and fees into the price at the start, instead of adding it on at the end.
Anyone could sell something at 1p* (*plus fees, postage and packaging etc etc) leaving the total at say £49.990 -
What, you mean like a depressingly increasing proportion of ebay users, more depressingly including (it would appear) some on this board who think it's OK to artificially inflate their postage packing and insurance charges in order to avoid ebay fees ???wirm wrote:I enjoyed listening to that, but it still annoyed me that they were talking about their cheap flights. Can I just ask Martin. In the money tips you say the multi-region dvd player is 'under £20' why can't you just say £19.99 or even £20.
Sorry to be so picky Martin, but I hate things worded like that.......0 -
it's the journalist coming out .............................headline grabbers........wirm wrote:Can I just ask Martin. In the money tips you say the multi-region dvd player is 'under £20' why can't you just say £19.99 or even £20.

under £20 is true but doesn't quite tell you how far under:D
could it be a penny or pounds
leaves that for you to find out now they got your attention:cool:0 -
True, he could say £20, but it's not, it's £19.99. But then, if Martin started putting that he'd get comments along the lines of "why do you go along with companies' marketing hype, calling products £19.99?". Whatever he puts there's always someone that disagrees. You can't please everyone.Could you do with a Money Makeover?
