I passed and got a 2.2 by some miracle. I was honestly expecting to fail.

    Well done matey!

Mine was very nice. Good think paper and all embossed ... if only I could remember where it is!
    Gone ... or have I?

You would think that the certificates should be embossed and better looking than a desktop publishing one.

My BA looks like something cobbled together on Publisher. They also offer a more 'ornate' version for £25 extra which is exactly the same as the plain version except the font used is in italics (as opposed to plain boring tahoma). I can honestly award myself something much better given, say, 20minutes in photoshop. Ah well. It's the process that counts. Although you'd think for a 700 year old uni they'd be able to come up with something better.

My first degree is okay - reasonably impressive, good quality paper, written in Latin (it is quite old!). Not nearly as impressive as my ex's HND though - very colourful and grand. Had some nice certificates and diplomas over the years... Most disappointing was my MBA - I could have put it together myself with powerpoint! (And I worked b***dy hard for it!)

But as someone says - what's the point. In 25 years of working no one has ever asked to see any of them. Only thing I've been asked for is my driving licence!

Isn't it weird when they write your name in Latin as well :rotfl:

It makes you wonder if universities just make them on publisher!!

You would think a MBA should look grander than a HND.

Phil, sometimes it goes like this. Concorde captains had a very small length of gold braid on their uniforms to denote their seniority. Baggage handlers had lots of gold braid ! It's not the cover, it's the book.
How did you get on at the Volunteer Bureau yesterday morning? When do you start?

I could tell you - if only I could remember where I put it! (I don't recall seeing it for at least 10 years!)
