Glad you're closer to getting a scooter. Sometimes you just have to go over budget when you really need something quickly or an opportunity to get something comes up. You just have to go with it and sort out the budget later.

Hope you have a good day xx

Currently not sleeping well at all. Not getting to sleep until very late & waking up later. I think I understand the reason for this.
Currently Master J is cuddled up with me. I need a drink but don’t want to move him.
I have things I need to do today.
I must try to get on top of the FB paperwork & I would like to tackle at least some of the ottoman of doom in my room that everything gets dumped on.

    Morning Beanie

 about struggling to sleep, as you have an idea why, is it something we can help you find a solution to? Presuming you are worrying about something?

Hooray to the Scooter, for me it was liberation, easing pain, fatigue and the risk of falling. They didn’t go away but the frequency reduced. Remember you can still park the scooter up and walk say to a table in a restaurant, I used one for over 15 years from my 30’s until I migrated to a wheelchair with power assisted wheels. I still though try to walk when I can, it’s about choice and options.

So I have treasurer paperwork to do today and yes I’m putting it off and yes I have areas of doom i need to tackle.

    So, I’m breaking in down....

    1 hour of paperwork

1 hour of rest / read / craft

30 mins of tackling an area of doom.

If I succeed I will repeat but perhaps only once today.

    Then it’s TV or read

For me it’s setting myself time limits so I can walk away and not let it get me down.

I’ve resigned as a treasurer from something, and although AGM is not until late September I did it early May, so they have time to get their b@m in gear, ( they haven’t but hey ho something will happen) and I feel a big weight of my shoulders.... well after I’ve completed the annual accounts and had them audited :rotfl::rotfl:

Keep plodding and small steps.... top priority cuddle those cats we both know that we need to cherish their love.
As a dear MSE friend says “keep plodding” or
What does the saying say.... When life hands you lemons, make lemonade
Or as my Mum would say, brush yourself down, tomorrow is another day or
Fake it, to you Make It

Bubblesmum ~~. Again in so many ways we are twins.
Our books for this year are also away to be audited as we speak.
I now need to get a real grip on this years.
We also have some pots of restricted funds & some of that money has been wrongly allocated and I have a lot to do with this quarter too.

I have managed to deal with the ottoman & stool of doom in my room so that’s good. I am now having a rest from that as I am tired already.
I am going to read my book now for a bit.

I am not sleeping as I keep thinking of the events of last week.
Hopefully it will pass at some point.
However it is fine & I keep thinking of their family.
    I just have no words.

I know this is different but a blogger that I followed for a few years passed away suddenly and unexpectedly (it was a health thing) and I was really affected by it. I didn't know her in real life but I felt like I knew her. She was active on FB and had replied to some comments I had made, and I looked forward to the blog posts, many of which I could relate to. When it happened a member of her family put a post on her blog to explain, rather than just have her disappear.
I felt lost for a while, I felt like I was grieving which I thought was selfish of me. It made no sense that I would grieve for someone I didn't actually know. I just didn't know how to shift the sad feeling. Eventually I decided to make contact, via Messenger, with her best friend, just saying that I was sorry for her loss and that she would be sadly missed. I wanted the best friend to know that people were thinking of her too. I told her there was no need to reply, I just wanted to let her know. Well she sent me a lovely reply, thanking me for my message, telling me how hard it was and saying that I wasn't the only person who had got in touch with her. After all of that I suddenly felt peace. I was so glad that I did send the message, it brought me comfort. I still feel selfish about it all but I tell myself that in trying to seek my own comfort I reached out to try to give comfort to someone else.

I'm just wondering if there is something that you can do to bring yourself some comfort.
