Sorry you’re feeling sad Beanie - have you thought any more about the counselling that was offered to FB folk.
A scooter is just what you need - think of the lovely places on your doorstep you can visit that some of us have to travel hundreds of miles to get to. Have you thought of a crowdfunding scheme?........January spends - £587.580 -
I'm not surprised that the tragic event affected you, I hope you can feel a bit more cheerful soon. I know how you feel as I've had disturbed nights since the anniversary of my mum's death. Time does help you to feel a bit more detached from it eventually.
I'm glad you've found another scooter you like, I hope you can get one soon. I'm also glad you treated yourself to a top and that chanting was helpful to you.

girlatplay wrote: »I know this is different but a blogger that I followed for a few years passed away suddenly and unexpectedly (it was a health thing) and I was really affected by it. I didn't know her in real life but I felt like I knew her. She was active on FB and had replied to some comments I had made, and I looked forward to the blog posts, many of which I could relate to. When it happened a member of her family put a post on her blog to explain, rather than just have her disappear.
I felt lost for a while, I felt like I was grieving which I thought was selfish of me. It made no sense that I would grieve for someone I didn't actually know. I just didn't know how to shift the sad feeling. Eventually I decided to make contact, via Messenger, with her best friend, just saying that I was sorry for her loss and that she would be sadly missed. I wanted the best friend to know that people were thinking of her too. I told her there was no need to reply, I just wanted to let her know. Well she sent me a lovely reply, thanking me for my message, telling me how hard it was and saying that I wasn't the only person who had got in touch with her. After all of that I suddenly felt peace. I was so glad that I did send the message, it brought me comfort. I still feel selfish about it all but I tell myself that in trying to seek my own comfort I reached out to try to give comfort to someone else.
I'm just wondering if there is something that you can do to bring yourself some comfort.
I am pondering what to do if anything.

A scooter is just what I need
Don't quote me on this but I'm sure you have to pay a % of money raised through crowdfunding - does anybody know for definite? How much over budget is your favourite choice of scooter? Just thinking maybe help could be given straight to you with no costs attached for people who want to? xx0 -

£600.
After all my research I am confident I have made the right decision.
I can use it locally & I can also use it when out & about further afield when I have someone to lift it in & out of the car.
Being disabled is an expensive buisiness on so many fronts.
I have finally made my peace with that as it is as it is & it is not going to change xxI am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. My knees are sore from sitting on the floor for so long but I have broken the back of it. Master J loved walking on it
