Just really about raising awareness of poverty both in and out of work. Also the fact that one in 5 children live in poverty.
Poverty is not always aparent.
Was interesting.
A lot of it I know but not all.

Interssting to learn on a personal note I live in poverty!! xx

Today was ok thanks.
No one near me really.
Most of my neighbours are older & have their own health problems.
I do have a friend who sometimes comes at weekend that I can sometimes ask. xx

Is that a national statistic for children or local to the area you live in? I agree, poverty is not always apparent and I wonder how those sort of people are helped or find help.

That is interesting about yourself! Can I ask if you actually feel that's the case? Don't feel obliged to reply, I just wonder if poverty is also somehow equated to happiness with what you have or don't have. I'm probably not getting that across very well, but you might get what I mean. xx

National statistic.
So 1 in 5 children in a class of 30.
It obviously varies from area to area.

Well I certainly knew I was not well off & my income is very low.
I am aware I live in a house I cannot afford to maintain.
It is what is is.
My main worry is having no money for emmergencies.

I’m pleased you managed to get out Beanie. Hope the meeting about poverty wasn’t too depressing- makes me so mad and ashamed there are so many folk suffering in this way.

It was intersting Milann & some of the attendees had no idea at all about poverty at all.

One thing came up which I have said for years & will be of no surprise to any of you is the fact that two incomes in to a household are always good & how hard it can be for some single people.

That is so true - neither myself nor dh have well paid jobs but I dread to think how I’d manage on my own......although I do know single friends who bring home more than both of us put together :eek:
