I think "Oh well" is a good response.

Could be worse - I opened the a bottle of port that I bought at Christmas - Was cheap in Lidl! But it is lush!!! Not sure I have used that word often to describe a drink but it is!!!! But definitely not slimming world friendly!!!

    Oh well!

Seriously though - sounds you are plodding on! The anxiety sounds like it is getting to you though! Hope it eases

    No financial updates really.
Less than 50 on CC & currently no OD.
Mortgage is ticking over & I am currently managing to OP 25 a month which is paid by DD as a static amount.
    Thats good!

Still no carpet & second coat in bedroom being done as we speak :)
Doubt will be finished today as light will go very soon. But all progress forward which is good.

Also finally had a handrail fitted at the back door. Hey ho.

My anxiety levels are high & my tolerance is low :(
I get very stressed with workmen in the house - and even though the plaster is falling off the weatherward wall, I can't get it mended till well after I retire, I just can't cope, so I really do know what you mean :(

Glad to hear about the handrail - I had one fitted over the bath, as there's a shower over the bath, and I must say it makes things easier...

Hi Beanie - don't now where time is going. Life here is all a bit manic at the mo..... flitting between work, visiting 94 year old mil and have been down to dd's looking after gdd -a journey of over 200 miles. I feel as if I've had hardly any time to myself..............mmm...........need to rectify that quickly :) but I do love looking after little one - just wish they weren't so far away :(
Well done with the overpayments annnd a 5 1/2 weight loss!!!!
Purple carpet sounds lovely - hoping the painting is nearly finished. I love the smell of new carpet.
I need to get back on track so am planning to visit the boards more regularly - see you soon

    Hi beanielou

Just coming over to say hello and I've subscribed as there are so many things in this thread that rang a bell with me, especially your biggest fear. It's the same as mine, losing my home...
Well done on making any overpayments at all, on a reducing income.
My mortgage will be paid this year and it's been a struggle. I was so terrified of losing my home I used debt to pay my mortgage when I couldn't find enough work...
So, I'm the wrong way around. I'll have paid off my mortgage but not my debt.

Anyway, it is what it is and we're all here facing up to what we need to and doing our best.

Just wanted to say well done to you.

Not so I'm afraid. It's a current account linked to my mortgage account, so it is secured. I won't feel safe until I have paid it off...:(
