I have had lodgers over the years so that part of it does not bother me.
If only there was no coucil tax every month!!
Maybe you should go for the lodger then as you know what it entails.

The extra money would be good and you could set out your house rules at the beginning so you hopefully wouldn’t get wet towels etc all over your bathroom as you did last time....might be worth the money.January spends - £587.580

It's only a couple of weeks (14 days / 336 hours / 20,160 minutes - some of this time they will HAVE to be asleep!) and as someone has said you could set out your rules from the start
Seriously though "Who leaves bathroom towels on the floor"....I run the untidiest house in the world (or so it feels to me and even I would be over my limit at that point!)

How was the lodger referred to you? Was it from someone who knows you well? And I would take the lodger. If it is for a couple of weeks it will be done before you know it, resulting in either A) bit of money and decent company
