Hi Beanie its nice to hear you had a good time, hopefully the rest now will help, I do hope you manage to get to see a physio soon. I understand its a long wait on the NHS my sister is the same waiting she has waited since June and only just got an appointment for October. She like you is considering going private. Hope you feel better tomorrow x

    Sorry your struggling beanie

I used a private physio until my nhs appointment came in which was a year after I had been referred by my doctor and can I just say what a difference it made to me, just having someone explain to me why I was hurting so much and show me exercises that could relieve my pain was definately life changing xx

Sadly the pain will never ever go away.
    It is as it is.
With cerebral palsy sometimes the muscles go into spasm & this is the currrent problem & not the every day pain if that makes sense xx

Physio is on my list of things to do which is ever growing.
Also at 50 quid a pop I need to do some serious money juggling.
A Dr friend tells me that she thinks that the spasms need to be pulled out as they are becoming more frequent & severe.

Beanie do you pay for any medical cover like health sure to cover for the dentist , glasses etc. When I hurt my back earlier in the year I was able to claim money back for a physio from this.

Also my first appt was through a groupon offer , sorry if not much help just trying to think of ways to make it cheaper . Would you qualify for a home visit from a physio owing to your medical condition.

Hope you get sorted soon . Which I could be of help .

No help with it I am afraid.
No home visits either private or on the NHS AFAIK.

Hi Beanie so sorry to hear that you are feeling unwell.
My Dad got an urgent and immediate referral to a psyiotherapist from the falls prevention team after he had a couple of falls. I know you are much younger than my Dad but I wonder if is worth asking your Doctor about this.

Hope you are on the mend soonx

Have done the falls clinic route about 18 months ago.
My problem is that short of not walking at all I am going to fall.

RE the muscle spasms they are a known problem with people with Cerebral Palsy & for me as I get older they are becoming much more debilitating , common & longer lasting.

    Slept for 4 hours today.

Mr SA went through the falls team and physio. Unfortunately, as in your case, not a lot can be done to help long term conditions :( Would paying for physio do any good? I would hate for you to pay out then it didn't help xx
