Oh beanie, what an awful day you've had. I hope you've read the messages on here and know that we love you and want to support you. I do know what you mean about not worrying your mum at her age, but it happens, it does, and its all right - like others have said, she'd want to know.
So tip a nod to your friend whose life you celebrated today, tip a nod to the mum that you still have, and the DS who texted you, and take consolation from your family and friends. Hope you manage to sleep tonight

Sorry to hear you've had a sad day with the funeral. You're so lucky to still have your mum, make the most of her - I lost mine almost 18 years ago, she would've been such a support to me when Mr SA was ill. I still miss her.

It is 6 years since my dad died.
I do try to make each day a good one if I can.
