  • Oh Beanie sorry to hear you fell - hope you're not feeling too sore.

Good advice about the ring too - I'll add to that be absolutely certain you won't on any level regret letting it go. Once it's gone it's too late to think "Oh I wish I hadn't..."

And while you're not in a position to help financially you can - and I know will - still be there supportively and with advice and help. Sometimes money is the least of it - a shoulder to lean on may be a lot more valuable as time goes on.

Unfortunatly I am not in a position to help out.

    It's character building.

How is he going to appreciate that unwise spending means he has to spend longer at work to pay for it, if his mother is always going to bail him out?

I really really need to get some for the weekend as I do nothing is there is nothing planned.

Yes, go out. Even if it's just to the beach or forest or somewhere without 4 walls.

  • It is a long haul.. but think in 6 months or so just how proud of himself (and you of him) that he's done it. It's an amazing achievement. If he hasn't asked don't feel bad. There's many other ways you are there for DS.

He's very lucky to have a brilliant Mother like you

Wise words from wannabe. One day he'll be looking after you.

I'm like you, I wish I could help my DS and family but can't realistically.

Support in other ways is priceless though.

If you find a soup maker useful then I would go for it, I am sure there will be a good deal about. I haven't got one, but I have a friend who couldn't live without theirs!

Hope you are feeling better after your fall x

    THanks JD.
Not at my best today it has to be said.
Not sure budget will run to another soup maker so currently still using it & then blending with the hand blender which is also on its last legs. You could not make it up :rotfl:
