So I am thinking of selling my engagement ring.
Any thoughts on the best way to go about it?
Let your fingers do the walking first, beanie - I happened to check out what a local jewellery shop would charge for an insurance appraisal, and I was really shocked at the price - I think you need to go somewhere competitive for that kind of thing - not your equivalent of my tiny little 30,000-people town.

I am sure one of our mutual friends knows about jewellery. Just cannot remember who......

I would think get an online price, get a couple of jewellers to value it and go from there. But I really don't know ;)
    Nevertheless she persisted.

Thank you Beanie for your information on my skin cancer , I am having mohs surgery which doesn't look so bad.

Hope your shoulder is ok after your tumble. We have a couple of pawnbrokers near me that also buy jewelry , I got a good price for a ring from them.
