From personal experience after care following a stay in hospital is hit and miss. They don't seem to bother how the patient is going to be looked after. I'm in a FB group for the type of Lymphoma Mr SA had and one woman on there whose husband was coincidentally treated by the same consultant as Mr SA, he unfortunately hasn't responded to treatment and has been discharged to a care home for his final weeks. She says the care home staff are nice enough but they have no idea how to handle someone dying of his condition as it's so rare and they're giving him paracetamol for the pain!

Shocking how random after care is and how a family is expected to just cope.   There might be a charity locally that can help, I know we found someone locally for VNM's mother on a short term basis whilst trying to sort out proper care, and the lead for them came for social services. I was so shattered by it all I rang social services in desperation and the charity they put me in touch with sent someone next day.   Hopefully you can find some help.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

Today has been a weeny bit better. It’s just trying to get into a routine of sorts.
Cleaner was great & that really helped. Worth the money. I am aware of the fact that not everyone can afford.
