the form is HMRC 701/7VAT reliefs for disabled people, just got the name as it reminded me when i sent the message that i needed to compete it for a chair i purchased from Amazon for his new shower, the team doing the bathroom are going to fit it when doing the refit as long as i purchased it, you fill it in and send it to the company you made the purchase from and they will keep it with there VAT records and should be able to refund you the VATyuanzhi said:beanielou said:In less than good news I had my gutters cleaned and a tile replaced on the roof. It turns out unfortunately that I need work done on the ridge tiles and something else. There is water leaking in to the loft. The quote is £1,200. Then of course the VAT. Could really just cry.
Beanie, you should be able to claim the VAT back at the least also with your new kitchen. i am getting my dad's bathroom redone and the company had a form to fill in to claim the vat back due to my dad being disabled, i just had to write on the form what his disabilities were and sign and date itbeanielou said:In less than good news I had my gutters cleaned and a tile replaced on the roof. Really sorry to hear about the roof, there's always something!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee1

Sorry to hear about the added expense of the roof 😞 Mr SA refuses to go to groups of anything basically but particularly brain injuries and disabilities so understand your mixed feelings.Enjoy celebrating with your maw tomorrow.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

Happy new kitchen beanie! Sorry about the roof though 😕
I can't believe how quickly that kitchen went in. Makes me want to pay a tradesman next time I get a kitchen. DP did it last time but it was a long drawn out over a month or so process 😵💫.3 -
My last kitchen 16/17 years ago was a homer and it was painful. I said never again.debtfreewannabe321 said:Happy new kitchen beanie! Sorry about the roof though 😕

Glad you have a lovely lunch and glad you might be able to get the vat back...DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Great girls night in last night at a friends. We had champagne to celebrate a friend’s new house.Lasagne & garlic bread. A fantastic pudding & chocolate covered strawberries.A great wee night. Embarrassing that I took nothing but myself. They are aware of my situation though.I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters.
