I find it difficult to find decent shoes as well.  Sometimes there's just no point in trying to save money.  It's blooming annoying.

Definitely lock the door when using the loo. I’ll never forget pressing the button and there was a little old man standing by the loo doing what he needed to do. He must have jumped out of his skiin…let’s say the ceiling was sprayed 😂😂😂😂 He just stared at the floor when he came out and shuffled to his seat. It was one of the first trips I’d made to dds on my own. I’m paranoid about train loos since and always have a little chuckle to myself when I go.
Sounds like you’ll be having some adventures. I always get my ticket at the station in advance. I like a paper ticket and not on my phone. I always check the prices on line and have never paid more than the online price and even had it cheaper.
    January spends - £587.58

Won’t be for a couple of months.
DS needs to settle into school & his third lot of accommodation.
    That’s his first day done!

    Hope the funeral was ok.

Accommodation costs are horrendous.  It's awful for people.

Thanks. It was just ok. At least it’s done.

Horrendous indeed. No wonder people don’t move.

I'm so glad we managed to get on the housing ladder.  It's a minefield renting.  Here, demand seriously outstrips supply.
