    I keep a dark coat for this very purpose but some people actually encourage lighter colours. My dad has told everyone he wants them to wear his favourite colour yellow and my late mother hated black so specified no black. Sorry for your loss and please don’t stress it’s a sad enough time for you already

    Just catching up, sorry to hear you've been under the weather & on the loss of your friend. For what it's worth I don't think anyone really notices what anyone wears at a funeral, being there is enough & appreciated x
