Thrifty Lesley website has loads of cheap meal ideas. Do you have a decent stock of food that you could use up rather than buying in?I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

What have you got in stock you could use up? Maybe add a load of veg to it unless it’s chocolate or cake 😆 I bet if you list what you’ve got on here someone will come up with suggestions.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

I'd go back to basics with pasta, baked potato, omelette etc. Bulk up with things you have in the cupboard, and use the treats to keep it less boring."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". I can only think of pasta/rice with veg based sauces….a bit of well cooked frozen broccoli mushed like a pesto over spaghetti with a bit of lemon juice and garlic, Jackets potatoes. Corned beef stew is another I fall back on. Good Luck Beanie - you can do itJanuary spends - £587.584

Also A Girl called Jack website, but if we know what you have in and where you shop we can help more. For instance ASDA have lettuce at 30 p. So as I have tomato in there's going to be more salad than usual at this time of year4
