I am plodding on thanks @Sunshine_girl2.
I am getting increasingly worried about the energy price increases across the board & how I am going to manage.
As someonon so called legecy benefits my income does not increase & like so many others it is a loss in real terms.
Hey ho, it is what is.
In many ways I am better off than some.
I have no mortgage & no real debt other than the loan for the conservatory.
It's just scary than we just don't know where it is going to end.
Anyway, in comparision to what is going on in Ukraine it is nothing nothing at all.
My heart bleeds for the people & yet am full of such admiration for their courage.

Going back to the money thing.
I am coming round to the feeling it is a mindset.
A mindset of being grateful for what I have & not foccusing on what I don't have.
Getting my head round there being no treats at all, no going for coffee, no clothes blah blah.
I need to think of what I do have.I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. Beanie I love your mindset……it is definitely the way forward BUT so hard to do day in and day out. Hats off to you lovely lady.My heart is with yours going out to the courageous people of the Ukraine…..scary, scary times. I’ve limited myself to one episode of watching the news a day……it was beginning to really get to me watching the same bombings over and over. It feels very cowardly but a bit of self preservation on my part.January spends - £587.586

Hugs beanie ((((((()))))))) a good mindset, but really one you shouldn't have to be worrying about xxx
As for the news, I think catching up once a day is fine - I don't think there's anything to be gained from endless reading. Be informed, do what you can, hug your own loved ones tighter xx7 -
Same here, beanie: I cut down to 3 times a day a few days ago, and I've cut more today. I didn't watch breakfast news at all, and so didn't feel paralysed by it. I'm looking at donation points this afternoon, and have already messaged the paralympics. I'll message their sponsors too.
As for the money ... I'm going to have to buy some underwear soonbut that's about it. Know where you're coming from.

Some local people are taking a van to the Poland/Ukraine border with supplies and the amount of stuff they’ve been given is amazing. I love how people really pull together when it’s needed. It’s such an awful situation and as for that evil man 🤬🤬I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6

The relief effort here is amazing too
