I've just looked at Brooks, ouch to the price! They look nice, and I just did the quiz which tells you which you should go for. It's good that they have a 90 day trial period though."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Sounds like you've got plenty to deal with, that's why!
With the trainers, see if you can find some discounted ones in last season's style/colours. We used to do that when I was running regularly - I can't remember where from though, will have a think5 -
This isn't specifically what I was looking for, but worth a look - might be a bit of messing about, the first ones are out of stock but the second ones don't seem to be

I searched generally for discount Brooks running shoes UK and a few things came up. Hopefully you can get a decent bargain with a bit of messing about (story of MSE life 🙄😂)4 -
Amazon had some slightly cheaper as well when I was looking.
Hope you feel a bit better today xx"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee4
