I find that a lot of people are like that within their professions, especially the medical and financial professions (I work in financial) and it's a "one size fits all" assumption until they drill down into the individual circumstances. Really nips ma heid as it's such an effort to explain and make them listen, especially when it's your health and you just don't have the extra energy for the effort, plus they have volumes of notes on you but are treating you like it's the first time you've walked through the door.
I'm sorry you were made to feel like that and just want to send some virtual hugs xxMortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000

Sorry you had that experience, rubbish people and communication skills from that health 'professional'. Says far more about them than you so hope you are able to let it go and not take it to heart. Good for you giving it back to them though, its so easy to be silenced and shamed by that kind of judgement 🤗4

She sound inexperienced or maybe very tired with the whole crisis - but whatever the reason she shouldn't have said that. Take care Beanie, and we all know just how hard you do push yourself.4

Some medical professionals have no bedside manners or any idea how to talk to individuals. It’s so maddening when you push yourself everyday to do the things that you do. They read the text books and look at conditions and all too often forget there is a person in the mix. Just virtual hugs.January spends - £587.585

When I was hit by a car, the A&E triage nurse I saw sat writing up her notes leaving me to struggle with a very heavy door - I was in shock, walking on a broken leg and had blood seeping from my head. She never got up to help. I complained afterwards as this was shocking behaviour.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6
