Funny you mention a halogen as have been thinking about getting one - are they any good?I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

I like my little halogen oven - but little is the operative word, if you're used to doing traybakes, or 2 or 3 big things at once, they're not for you. If mine bust, though, I'd buy another one2023: the year I get to buy a car1

I love my halogen too! I did manage a full roast dinner in there last weekend. Roasted the chicken first then whilst that was resting i put a dish of stuffing mix in the bottom with a small tray of parboiled new potatoes for roasties on top. When they came out and I was plating up I chucked in a few frozen yorkies."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.1

Since my big oven "blew up" when we were on holiday I've been using the small oven I'd previously never used before. It's fine but very slow. Until I get a new kitchen a halogen sounds just the ticket. I never bake Karma - I don't have the patience.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

I don't do it that often, I must say - I use the hobnobs recipe on here, about once every two months. Round Christmas, I whisk up a stuffing mix .... its been like that since I've been ill - I'm certainly hoping to do more, get a few apple crumbles going now that the apples are ripening.2023: the year I get to buy a car1
