If that shredder from Lidl isn't an option, the same one (6 sheets at a time, with a window so you can see how full it is) is on offer at Amazing for just under £10 more. About half the price they usually are. Here is a link.
So sorry to hear about your accident. You should definitely check if the pot hole has already been reported (we have a map for our local authority highways so you can zoom in to report accurately where problems are). If it has been reported already you are in a good position to claim against the Local Authority Insurance as they have a legal obligation (in England for sure) to fix within a certain period. Especially if you need extra physio as well as a new car. Time to consider an electric one?Save £12k in 2026 #2 I have banked £2870.61 so far, against a £10k target The 2026 Save £12k in 2026 thread is here
OS Grocery Challenge in 2026 I am sticking with a £3000 annual budget for 2026 - currently £568.34 and most of my March purchasing made
I also Reverse Meal Plan on that thread and grow much of our own premium price fruit and veg, joining in on the grow your own in 2026 discussion thread

Sorry to read about the bump, hope you are feeling ok this morning and not too stiff and sore. As Karmacat said be kind to yourself, it must have been such a shock.5

I see the physio once a week as it is & I am not sure she would see me more than that.
I cant afford an electric one.
Maybe a hybrid.
Thanks for the shredder info.

Having had a quick look at the Lidl one does look very similar to the Fellows one which is the one I had looked at previously.Suffolk_lass said:If that shredder from Lidl isn't an option, the same one (6 sheets at a time, with a window so you can see how full it is) is on offer at Amazing for just under £10 more. Sorry about the accident. Are you not eligible for a motability car? It seems to be a good scheme, but I am unsure how it works.5

Delurking to say that if you advise your insurance company about the state of the road, they may initiate a claim against the local authority. At the end of the day and not being flippant, it’s only money. So glad everyone concerned was unhurt. Maybe your next car will be better able to accommodate your scooter.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 12st 1lb determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes.
